When there was no room at the inn, Joseph and Mary found refuge in the manger. Patience created this hand thatched shelter to keep them through the night. The uprights are resin tree trunks bound in gold leaf and the roof is woven raffia. The set arrives with a glowing gold leaf base on which to place the Holy Family at the center of the Nativity. Measures 11" high and 17" deep and arrives gift boxed. A few simple steps are required for assembly.

Instructions could be better.

I did not have access to the online pix of the shelter which would have made the instructions make more sense (actually seeing where each post went). The picture also makes the tilt of the top look more level than it actually is. It tilts down in the front so if your nativity is on a lower table, what is under the shelter is kind of hidden, especially if you put it up on the gold box ( which is just paper, a little disappointing considering the price of the piece). I waited to purchase the piece as I have built my set over a few years because of the price, and I have to say it's the first piece I've been disappointed in. Still, it's a part of the story and I will keep it. (Posted on 12/28/2016)
