Holland, our beloved son and brother, was a shining light in our lives. He was a bright, articulate, funny, enthusiastic and handsome young man. He ended his courageous 3-year battle against Hodgkin’s Disease in 2005, when he was just 26. His family and friends from all around the world miss him so much.
To celebrate and commemorate his joyful and rich life, we have helped fund a living blooming garden with a sparkling stream and solar powered lighting. It is a Courtyard Project at Holland’s award-winning Skaneateles Central School.
The Courtyard Project was conceived of and created by the Environmental Club at SCS. The garden sprung to life from what had been a black tar and gravel eyesore after Holland’s family and friends made the necessary donations. It was dug up, filled in and planted through deep commitment, sheer muscle and sweat of the students. It is flourishing, we believe, because of the love and memory that nurture it. We’d like to help enable its continued maintenance and development by supporting the Environmental Club and the students who will be working to make sure it thrives in the future.
As a way for you to join us in his memory, Marietta has created a T-shirt that her brother would surely love. It is a brown heather ringer tee, 6.1 ounce, and 100% cotton pigment-washed body. It is light and soft.
The shirt costs $20.00, plus $5.00 for shipping each order, no matter how many you order. (So, if you order 2 shirts, the cost would be $45.00, including shipping and handling) You can add this to your shopping cart along with the rest of your order. To order your T-shirt, please click here.
All of us thank you for your help in honoring Holland. Plus you will LOVE this shirt!
